Version 2 of the Multiplex Sensor Bus was introduced some time ago.
In the application by S32 there is only one difference between the versions, it concerns the data class “speed”:
In MSBv1, speed fix has a resolution of 1/100, thus modulo 100 revolutions.
In MSBv2 there are two resolutions, as a positive value sensor(S32)->terminal(transmitter) 1/100 as in V1, – as a negative value 1/10, modulo 10 revolutions.
If your transmitter or other equipment still speaks MSBv1, a negative speed value would confuse it. You could now update this equipment or you set S32 to MSBv1.
